1. Who we are
Massage and Move is run by Rachel Barrington, Rue de la Combe 9, 1196 Gland, Switzerland (email: massageandmove.ch@gmail.com). Rachel is responsible for the processing of your personal data described in this policy, in line with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).
2. What data we collect
- Contact details you give us when you book or get in touch: your name, email address and phone number, and your address if you book a home visit.
- Booking and payment details: the session you booked, the date and time, and payment status.
- Health information you choose to share with us, for example in the booking message or during a session, such as injuries, symptoms or relevant medical history.
- Technical data collected automatically by our website platform when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view.
3. Why we use your data
We use your data to manage your bookings and send confirmations and reminders, to plan and deliver sessions that are safe and suited to you, to take payment and keep the records we are legally required to keep, and to reply to your questions. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Health information
Health information is sensitive personal data. We only ask for what we need to provide a safe session, we keep it confidential, and we do not pass it to anyone else without your explicit consent unless the law requires us to.
5. Who we share your data with
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf: Wix.com, which hosts this website and runs our booking and payment system; the payment providers used at checkout; and Google, which provides our email. Some of these providers store data outside Switzerland, including in the EU/EEA, Israel and the United States. Where data is transferred to a country that the Swiss Federal Council does not recognise as providing adequate protection, we rely on the safeguards these providers have in place, such as standard contractual clauses or the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework.
6. How long we keep your data
We keep your contact, booking and session information for as long as we are working with you and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete it securely. Accounting records, such as invoices and payment records, are kept for 10 years as required by Swiss law.
7. Cookies
Our website uses cookies set by Wix that are needed for the site and the booking system to work, and may use analytics cookies to help us understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the site may then not work properly.
8. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to tell you what personal data we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to stop or limit how we use it, to give you a copy of it, or to withdraw any consent you have given. To do so, email massageandmove.ch@gmail.com. If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) at www.edoeb.admin.ch.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
